They say Apathy is the single most reason people don’t return to do business. I arrived at approximately 11:55 this Monday 11/35/2024. I had heard good about the nursery and knew what I needed to get. I had been here years ago, but not lately. After parking, I passed by a heavy set gentlemen in a blue coat and sunglasses. No “hello”, no “How may I help you?”, nothing. He returned to his cell phone. I found what I was looking for within minutes, 3 Rose of Sharon bushes. I returned to the area where the red carts were and wheeled it over to the plants. I gathered 3 plants then proceeded to check out where I was greeted with “Ok”. The man turned to his register, scanned the items and gave me the total, $131.79, followed by “sign here”. That was it, no “Did you find everything you need”, no “Can I help you with those, nothing”. I waited for even a “Thank you” but nothing. Nothing. I quipped, “You are welcome”. And wheeled my 3 plants over and into my car. Again no offer for any help, no protective bed liner film, nothing. I managed to get all 3 plants in my SUV, and drove away, leaving the little red wagon in the middle of the parking lot. What a horrible customer service experience. I am sure I will want to go back and get more plants in the future, but I will always remember this experience, and will probably not recommend this place to others. There was a time this nursery was dying to have your business. Not so much anymore I guess. 5 stars for plants, 1 star for customer service. I left angry and felt that a I would have rather paid more somewhere else and enjoy the processes of purchasing these plants. Instead, nothing, just nothing. Apathy, not a good way to do business. It was now 12:10 pm. It only took 15 minutes to disappoint.

I can't say enough about the staff @ Verde Valley Growers. First visit and new to the area , I had MANY questions about native plants, planting care, watering etc. Lynette was amazing ,patient and professional and went out of her way to listen to what I was needing. Her kindness was above and beyond! All the staff are personable and professional in person and when I phoned in. I am very impressed w their plant knowledge and willingness to find out if they don't know. 2nd visit within the week returned and bought more several helped us: Julie, Caleb and a gentleman who remembered me from first visit . (I had so many questions Lynette probably needed the day off or was ready to retire after helping me 😅) The plant variety and stock looked beautiful and healthy. I am so excited and looking forward to delivery and amazing planting experience. Did I say how much I love Verde Valley Growers and employees and stock? I do.

We so enjoy coming here, the selection is really great the staff are so friendly!! Some are more knowledgeable than others and many are expert expert in the material. They're all pretty laid back in friendly so I would highly recommend it. Also, they promptly responded to an email question with a personal response and indicated where I could find the plant I was looking for. 👌

Super friendly staff. Not only welcoming when I arrived but helped me locate plants out of stock in my area via email before my trip. Drove over an hour to get their and was extremely pleased with products and service. So glad I took the risk, will definitely be back!
