It is a good thing they had a steady flow of customers otherwise I might have spent well more on produce. I’ll admit, I am unable to pass up a Farmer’s Market and this permanent stand in Palmer is a don’t miss stop. They sell fresh eggs, every type of Alaskan grown produce available (including Pam’s Carrots) and they have local honey! I knew I overbought when I got home and had to start cooking in order to make room for everything. They also had strawberry-rhubarb lemonade and Alaska Chip Company potato chips...neither of which I had hands left to carry...but I would wager it would be worth a stop for those alone. I did manage to grab some Dahlias...hard to resist. Additionally, they had a nice selection of apparel that they sell to benefit the Alaska Farmland Trust. I especially love that they accept WIC, nobody should be denied fresh foods. I know there has been a note listed on Google Maps by the owner that says they are on an appointment only schedule. That was during the winter…summer hours are in full swing…10am-5pm Wednesday through Sunday.

Update winter 2024: Very excited that they have expanded hours and are open regularly during the winter. Please be sure to call for hours, or check the hours posted by the owner.

Update July 2024: Great looking tomato plants available at really reasonable prices for those who didn’t get around to starting their own this past spring.

The prices are ... High. That being said, it's a small business that sells produce and I want to shop there. The staff is very friendly and informative to where the produce came from and when. Good variety in terms of selection

The produce was so fresh and sweet and of great variety. There was pasteurized rhubarb juice that I am interested to return to try. The produce was large and healthy. We had brought 3 year olds who were very curious and they had been aloud to learn how to pick their own leaf of kale to take home and they were very excited even though they did not know what they had picked. It was a wonderful experience. She also has flowers and trees available that were healthy and beautiful also.

I moved to Alaska from Oregon and learning how to garden here. They have been so helpful!!!!! Bear Mountain Meats recommended them to me because I was looking for home grown chickens to eat.I'm so happy with the choices I have here in Wasilla. Purchased the best beef ever from Bear Mountain Meats and chickens and vegetables from Bushes and Bunches among other items. Love my new home!!!

This is my Sunday getaway place. I love going there and looking at what they have in their bins. Your mind instantly begins to sort through recipes until you find just what sounds perfect. The best quality. Good prices. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable. It's always a pleasure to exchange ideas on a variety of subjects from the produce to gardening to canning to baking.

Okay, so some folks might think big deal just a farm market, but for us it's our time of year to eat better and this place is like Tiffany's! They have amazing vegetables, some fruits and right next to them is a wonderful woman who makes the best fried potatoes and rhubarb lemonade. The selection of potatoes and squash is awesome, their radishes are the size of golf balls and are sweet and tender.

Amazing produce! Don't leave without getting some of Pam's carrots! Some of the sweetest I've tasted. Very friendly service and they take credit cards. They have a Facebook page that is worth checking out too.
