Hilariously bad. Normally Air Force likes to pamper themselves, but this room was stuck in the 1950s, had a leaky shower faucet, and clogged shower head. The old vending machines required quarters (seriously, who carries change anymore?). The icing on the cake was when my key quit working. My room was in a separate building so I had to drive across post to get another key. I’ve stayed in better places for half this price. Lesson learned-stay off post!

Front Desk Team is awesome! They definitely provide amazing customer service and are very understanding/patient. Enjoyed The TLF I was in, very big and spacious but constantly had room key/unlocking front door issues.. Almost every other day I was going to the front desk which is some what out of the way to have them retrigger keys. But overall it was a comfortable and cozy stay.

To be honest, I would have much preferred to stay off base. It was $192 a night for TLA when the buildings have been the same since the night 1950s (per staff). It's outdated, like stepping into the 70s and had a musty old smell in the halls. It feels like you're in a pavilion, like from high school, because it makes even the lightest steps sound like you have on concrete boots.

The staff was very kind and professional. I found Jesus, one of the cleaners, to be just the sweetest guy!

Pros:
- not far from work when out processing
- kind staff
- ease of reservation and getting linens changed
- nice kitchen
- shower heats fast
- free laundry

Cons (some out of their control):

- outdated
-our keys didn't work at first, and we had to go back to the main desk
- Jets screaming at all hours
- way overpriced
- a million degrees inside, so we slept with windows open as the thermostat didn't seem to be changing anything
- got towels with holes in them
- listened to beeping of work trucks backing up at all hours, and the sound of what we guessed was a horn thay blared odd sounds to scare away wildlife. One night, this went off for HOURS in the middle of the night, like 2 AM to 5 or 6 AM
- fan/light in bedroom didn't work
- the main desk is miles from the actual rooms

I've stayed here twice. When I first arrived to JBER and when I left. Would not want to stay there again.

Room was clean and spacious. Had microwave and wifi. The toilet was running constantly when I got there and had to call in a work order over the weekend. They did get someone out to fix it at the beginning of the week.

There were 4 of us staying there and 3 out of the 4 of us ended up having some sort of Key Card issues, so I would def ask to have extra cards.

Room was really warm when I got there, but luckily the room was supplied with a big fan I could put in the window.

They also had a little grill outside of the building, so grab some charcoal from the commissary.

The lodging here is nice but almost $50, more expensive than the Marriott. If you're not on orders, You get several different stories of when you can call to reserve your room. I was told 2 weeks prior, then I called about 1 month before, and they had rooms available/can book but much higher than out in town. You cannot make reservations online.

Rooms were clean and well maintained throughout. The only downside is they did a poor job maintaining the sidewalks and the parking lot. Throughout my teams 3 week stay there was consistently a large amount of snow and ice accumulated on both the sidewalks and parking lots. This caused a significant hazard for my team.

While I understand it is Alaska and the associated weather that comes with it; it's for this reason I expect them to have better precautions in place to combat the conditions.

Not a bad location. Good for military billeting. Hard to compare to any other lodging that most civilians would ever receive. Nice sized room/suite. No heat control and my room was a little cool for my tastes. There is a nice thick blanket to compensate. There is also a portable fan available in the room for cooling purposes. Cleaning services were adequate, I'm not messy so I didnt have to test their skills. I stayed on the first floor which provided a good balance of noise control except when someone upstairs had a loud bang, heavy drop or rolling luggage. The bathrooms are suitable. The water does get cold when there is a toilet flush elsewhere. Might just be this particular building, there are at least 2 billeting buildings and from my coworkers comments, they dont experience that at all. Staff was always helpful and friendly and the hot chocolate in the lobby was great.
