I really wanted to like this organization and was excited to try it out today at their monthly pickup center at the Lutheran Church on First Avenue. You drive up, sign in, and pay $10. I wasn't expecting the items to be superior by any means, but was extremely disappointed with what I got, most of which I ended up throwing out when I got home. I was given bread that expired several days ago and was moldy. I was given a pizza dough crust that was expired and crumbly. I was given sun chips that expired a month ago. The bag of potatoes I got was soft and moldy. I got a case of orange juice that was dark and smelled stale, a package of hamburger buns that expired on January 22nd. I also got grapefruit, some oranges, tomatoes, and peppers, half of which were thrown out. When all was said and done, I was able to salvage two grapefruit, four tomatoes, four small oranges, and a handful of peppers. All for 10! The concept is good in theory. The volunteers were sweet, but you can do better MOM. I work full-time, make very little money, consider myself to be one of the working poor and got ripped off here. This was not fair. Save your $10.

FALSE ADVERTISING!!! I heard about Market on the Move from Instagram @tucsonvillagefarm. They make people believe they are getting up to 60 pounds and they really focus on the 60 but in reality it's not even close to that. I got there today around 8:10am. I had been looking forward to getting lots of vegetables. I waited about 25 minutes. They have a system where you don't get out of your car. You are just in a line of cars and once it's your turn all you do is push the button to open your trunk and they will put the items in for you. So, when I got home I was EXTREMELY disappointed to see a small bag of produce which at MOST weighed 10 pounds. Then I saw another bag full of other items including two chips, Goli vitamins, ice cream cones, and Torani black sugar syrup. Every single item was EXPIRED. Goli vitamins expired 05/2023, Chips 10/2023 and so on. Market on the Move needs to be more honest with people on ALL social media platforms so, people know what to expect. I personally would not have wasted my time going if I knew. At the end of the day I think it's about honestly and transparency. I don't know if this is something that happens every time or if there are times people do get close to 60 pounds of produce but this was my experience. Below are pictures of everything I got.

If I could put negative stars I would! Market on the Move is known for their 60lbs of fresh produce for $10. Right? I went last weekend and you guys gave me all expired food! I bought 2, so I paid $20 for a ton of expired packaged food! Some of which expired in 2023!! I reached out to your Facebook and commented on a post, and they blocked me! I am a social worker and I give resources out to people all the time. I will NEVER mention Market on the Move to anyone again. Unless it’s to tell them they can go if they want expired food!

Tucsonans love a good deal. And we try not to let food go to waste. And we love to share with our neighbors.

Aptly named MOM (Market On the Move) is the perfect trifecta.

Once a week the AMAZING volunteers put together quite a show and manage to distribute tens of thousands of pounds of food that would have gone to waste. They are always cheerful, and the crowd is patient and thankful.

You GO Tucson, way to feed our peeps!

Such a great team of volunteers and the value cannot be matched. You will enjoy the team immensely, even if you have to wait in line.

Same items as another review listed. I also purchased (2) at 8:00 am this morning. and everything was already expired. Cauliflower and broccoli were moldy. What a waste of $20.

I received a box of rotten squash it had turned to mush and leaked water all over my living room. I also go moldy bread complete green all the way through. When I brought it to their attention on their Facebook page they blocked me.
