I visited for the first time today and was offered to have a custom cut porterhouse steak. I slow smoked and then seared to temp. The quality is great! I have to try a ribeye next. I highly recommend!

Took a drive to Oakland Meat Market and I wanted to share a great experience with the visit and purchase. The place is small but packed with a variety of fresh meat, frozen meat In ready to go boxes and a large chest of frozen veggies, appetizers for purchase. The front counter cashier was super friendly, very attentive to my questions and provided quick service! I ordered 5 8oz ribeye steaks. Our family BBQ’d them tonight and wow! Meat was flavorful and great quality ! It was nice to do business with a local shop and it wont be my last visit! Worth the drive !

1st time shopper. Country ribs had a bad taste about them. Rib tips were nothing but tips (bones), not even enough meat for flavoring, ground chuck definitely freezer burned. Haven't tried pork chops but don't have much hope. Drove an hour and a half on a recmendation,purchased $200 of meat we did not eat.

If your in Oakland or outlying area, this is the go to place for choice selection of meat. Home of the (soon to be) world famous "Moo Pig" ground meat, Oakland Meat Market has a selection of fresh cut meats and excellent prices on freezer packed meats.

Today was my first experience with "Moo Pig" which has the consistency of lean ground beef. The hamburgers I made with it grilled beautifully with very minimal flare up. Despite being a lean meat, the burgers were very juicy and abounded with the flavor of bacon. When you stop in for a great deal on ribs, steaks or chicken, don't forget pick up a pound or two.
