I vowed to never do business at this place again. Ladies in office are wonderful, so are most of the pen people in the back. But if you are not part of the “good ole boy” network you will get bent over the rail.... fast. In 2016 i sold about 15 weaned, not fancy, but healthy thick heifers and steers from a registered bull. They got thrown in a pen of about 300 head and the sale got “delayed” until 1 in the morning. Markets ended the week about $2/lb for my class and weight. Picked up my check the following week.... $1.20.....really? My point is there are a select few buyers at these old school stock barns and you will get taken advantage of. If you can drive to Carthage, drive up to CPC in KY. Stay far far away from this place if your concerned about your bottom line.

.Over the past month I have sold two Black Steers. First time around I got 1.27 for a 770 pound steer. Two weeks later I got .97 for a 800 steer. The second steer was by far the better of the two. I called to see if there was an explanation. I got a lame excuse saying the buyer said it had was a "hump back". That's a .30 cent difference. The market has not changed that fast. I also learned the market report you look at is not accurate. I saw no where on the weeks report a steer of this category sell for .97. Beware.
